At the beginning of 2020, our daily lives changed, making the need to reach for modern technologies in order to gain a little closeness, community and unity in prayer or remembrance during the funeral ceremony even stronger. Online broadcasting is one such technology.
With the proliferation of various online video sharing technologies, questions have been raised about the security of such services, as not everyone wants their image and emotions to be published online. One of the online broadcasting tools is the Funeral Card. The formula of the notice makes online broadcasts connect families and friends of the deceased around the world - ceremonies held in Poland can be viewed by family members and friends who are in other countries and on other continents. It is also a good solution for people living in other countries or cities who cannot come to the funeral but want to take part in the last farewell ceremony. Some people cannot attend a ceremony for health reasons. You just need to have your phone, tablet or computer with internet access with you to watch the whole ceremony during the online broadcast.

What is important is that the link to the broadcast in the Funeral Card is not public; it is made available only to those who received the notice. Thanks to this, there is no fear that an unwanted person will watch the transmission, violate the privacy of the mourners attending the funeral or use the recording inappropriately.
There is no way for the video to be posted on YouTube or social media, for example, without the decision of those who have received the notice in the Funeral Card application. If the family want to stream the ceremony on Facebook, that is possible, but it is always their personal decision.
If a funeral company or another contractor offers an online streaming service, it is always a good idea to ask about the details of the offer and take note of the technology with which the recording will be made and how it will be shared.
